PREAMBLE
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) aim to govern the contractual relations between the company Slick, operator of the site euro-vignette.com, and any user, individual or professional, wishing to place an order for an electronic vignette.
They apply to all orders placed via the site. Acceptance of the GTCS is mandatory to finalize an order. In case of modification, the applicable GTCS are those in effect on the date of the order.
ARTICLE 1 – DEFINITIONS
The terms used in these General Terms and Conditions (GTC) must be understood as follows:
- "Site": the platform euro-vignette.com allowing the ordering of electronic vignettes.
- "Client": any natural or legal person who places an order on the Site.
- "Order": request for the provision of one or more electronic vignettes.
- "Electronic vignette": digital title allowing the use of the motorway network in a specific country.
- "Service Provider": refers to the company Slick, responsible for operating the site and transmitting the requests for vignettes.
ARTICLE 2 – OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale aim to legally frame the contractual relationship between the Service Provider, namely the company Slick, and any person using the site euro-vignette.com to order one or more electronic vignettes for circulation on the motorway networks of certain European countries.
This contract defines exhaustively the conditions under which the Client can access the service, place an order, transmit the necessary information, and receive confirmation of the validity of the ordered vignette. It also specifies Slick's commitments as a technical and administrative service provider, as well as the limits of its liability, particularly regarding the accuracy of the data provided by the Client, the constraints imposed by the issuing authorities, or the processing times.
Slick acts as a dematerialized intermediary: it does not create the vignettes but facilitates their acquisition by securely collecting, processing, and transmitting the data required by the national authorities of the concerned countries. This activity relies on an optimized interface allowing the Client to select the parameters applicable to their vehicle (country, duration of validity, category, start date, registration) and to follow a simplified and automated ordering procedure.
The contract exclusively concerns the provision of a digital service for processing and transmitting information. It does not involve any physical delivery, nor any commitment to results regarding the final approval of local authorities. However, Slick commits to implementing all necessary technical and human means to ensure the accuracy, security, and speed of order execution, in accordance with the contractual specifications.
Finally, this contract also frames the Client's rights regarding personal data, complaints, liabilities, and pre-contractual information, in line with the requirements of consumer law and GDPR. It forms an inseparable whole with the other legal documents displayed on the site, including the privacy policy, legal notices, and any specific conditions related to certain promotions or ancillary services.
ARTICLE 3 – CONDITIONS FOR ACCESS TO THE SERVICE
Access to the site euro-vignette.com is freely open to any person with a terminal connected to the Internet. Consulting the information, pricing, or help pages does not require any prior registration. However, access to the electronic vignette ordering service is strictly reserved for users meeting the following conditions: having the legal capacity to contract under French law, using the service for their own account or as a legal representative of a legal entity, and providing accurate, complete, and verifiable information when placing an order.
The Client, whether acting as an individual or a professional, declares to be of legal age, not to be under guardianship or curatorship, and not to be subject to any legal restrictions regarding their ability to contract. In the case of an order placed on behalf of a company, association, or public entity, the Client guarantees that they have the necessary authorizations to engage said structure.
In order for the order to be finalized, the Client must also have a valid payment method (credit card accepted on the site), an operational and accessible email address, as well as an up-to-date web browser. It is their responsibility to ensure that their technical setup (internet access, security, email filters, etc.) allows for the proper receipt of documents sent electronically, including order confirmations and vouchers.
Slick reserves the right to restrict, temporarily suspend, or deny access to the service, without compensation, in the following cases: scheduled or unforeseen technical maintenance, security incidents, detection of abusive or fraudulent use of the service, non-compliance with these General Terms and Conditions, or any attempt to alter or disrupt the proper functioning of the site. Such a suspension may also occur in the event of abnormal behavior by the Client, particularly in the case of attempts to circumvent usage rules or intentionally saturate the system.
Finally, Slick informs Clients that certain services may be restricted, temporarily or permanently, for reasons related to the specific requirements of partner countries or the evolution of administrative agreements. These limitations, when they exist, will be clearly indicated on the site at the time of ordering.
ARTICLE 4 – DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
The site euro-vignette.com, operated by the company Slick, offers a fully dematerialized service allowing users to order online one or more electronic vignettes (e-vignettes) required to circulate legally on the motorway networks of certain European countries. These vignettes are mandatory in several partner states, including Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. This list is not exhaustive and may evolve as other countries adopt or modify their electronic toll regulations.
The service offered is based on a standardized process aimed at simplifying administrative procedures for the end user. The Client begins by selecting the country in which they wish to use the vignette, then indicates the category of the vehicle concerned (passenger car, utility vehicle, motorcycle, etc.), the desired validity period (generally available in daily, weekly, monthly, or annual format), as well as the start date of validity. They are also asked to accurately enter the registration number of the vehicle concerned, a central element for registering the vignette with the national road authorities. Additionally, to enable the administrative and tax processing of the order, the first and last name of the client are collected for the issuance of the invoice. Furthermore, a valid email address is required to ensure the sending of important notifications.
Once this information is validated, the Client accesses a summary of their order allowing them to verify the entered data. They then proceed to online payment via a secure interface. At this stage, the order is considered firm and irrevocable. Slick then takes care of the automatic transmission, via a secure electronic channel, of the request to the competent body or state platform of the concerned country. This step is carried out without excessive delay, under optimal technical conditions, and in compliance with the protocols imposed by local authorities.
It is important to note that Slick does not issue the vignettes itself but acts exclusively as a technical and administrative intermediary. It facilitates access to a complex cross-border service, reducing language barriers, forms, and foreign sites that are sometimes not easily accessible. The service is therefore limited to the centralization of information, its processing, and its transmission in a format compliant with the requirements of the various partner states.
The Client receives, at the email address provided during the order, a confirmation of the registration, the validity date of the vignette, the mandatory mentions, as well as, if applicable, a supporting document or a reference number. It is strongly recommended to keep these elements for the entire duration of the vignette's use and to present them in case of inspection.
Access to this service requires increased vigilance on the part of the Client, particularly in entering data and complying with the specific traffic conditions of each country. Slick disclaims any responsibility in case of use of the vignette in a context that does not comply with the national regulations of the issuing country (misspelled license plate, incorrect duration, non-corresponding vehicle category, etc.).
ARTICLE 5 – ORDER PROCEDURE
Placing an order on the site euro-vignette.com is done exclusively electronically and requires strict adherence to a user journey structured in several successive steps. This process aims to ensure clarity, traceability, and security of the operation, both for the Client and for the Provider.
Initially, the Client is invited to choose the country in which the vignette will be used. They are then asked to specify the characteristics of their vehicle, including the category, type of vehicle, country, and license plate number, as well as the desired validity period, including the duration and start date. The system automatically adjusts the available options based on the rules applicable in each selected country.
In addition to the technical data of the vehicle, the Client must also accurately provide their first name, last name, and email address. This information is necessary for billing, administrative management of the order, and for the electronic transmission of documents. The email address provided is used to send the order confirmation, proof of payment, and any official document related to the vignette.
Once all information is entered, the Client accesses a detailed summary of their order. This summary includes, in particular: the license plate number, the selected country and validity period, the total amount including tax, any applicable taxes, and the specific conditions pertaining to the country in question. The Client is invited to verify the accuracy of these elements before validating the order, as no modifications can be made once payment is completed.
After validation, the Client is redirected to a secure payment interface operated by a PCI-DSS certified provider. Payment is made in one single transaction, via the means offered on the site (mainly credit card). No order can be processed without full prior payment.
At the end of the transaction, the order is considered final and irrevocable. It is handled by the Slick teams, who proceed to verify and transmit the data to the competent authorities.
A confirmation email is automatically sent to the email address provided by the Client. This message contains a reminder of the order details, as well as any necessary documents in the form of an attachment or downloadable link. This email serves as proof of purchase that the Client agrees to keep for the entire validity period of the vignette.
It is the sole responsibility of the Client to ensure the proper receipt of this confirmation. In case of non-receipt or any errors found, the Client is required to inform the support service within a reasonable timeframe at the address: contact@euro-vignette.com.
Finally, Slick reminds that the accuracy of the entered data — notably the country and registration number, the country, the vehicle category, and personal information — determines the validity of the sticker issued by the authorities. Any error, inconsistency, or omission may result in the invalidity of the sticker, even sanctions during a roadside check, without Slick's liability being engaged in this regard.
