Can an electronic sticker be transferred to another vehicle?
No. A digital sticker is linked to the vehicle's license plate and cannot be changed after purchase. In case of a vehicle change, you must buy a new sticker. Additionally, if there is an error on the plate during purchase, no refund is possible. Please check your information carefully before confirming the order.
What are the activation times for the electronic sticker?
The activation time is almost immediate. Purchase your e-sticker at least 18 days (European right of withdrawal) before your departure or go through an authorized reseller offering immediate activation.
What is an e-vignette?
An e-vignette (or electronic vignette) is a digital toll system used in several European countries. It replaces the traditional adhesive vignette and is linked to the vehicle's license plate.
Which European countries use e-vignettes?
Here are the main countries that have implemented an e-vignette system (instead of or in addition to traditional tolls): Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Switzerland (still has a physical vignette, e-vignette available since 2024). ⚠️ Some countries like France, Spain, Italy, or Germany primarily use barrier tolls or distance-based tolls.
Is a vignette valid in multiple countries?
No. Each country has its own system, rates, and rules. You must purchase an e-vignette for each country you pass through if required.
What happens if I do not pay for my vignette?
If you drive without a valid e-vignette in a country that enforces it: You are subject to a hefty fine (often between €100 and €300), checks can be done by automatic cameras or patrols, some countries impose fines on the spot or afterwards, sometimes by mail.
